Kisi Gate Access
The Sportsman's Club of Franklin County uses the Kisi Mobile App for convenient, secure gate access. Follow the steps below to get set up before your first visit.
Step 1 – Download the Kisi App
Install the free Kisi Mobile App on your smartphone.
iPhone: Download from the Apple App Store
Android: Download from Google Play
Step 2 – Sign In
Open the Kisi app.
Enter the email address associated with your club membership.
Check your email for a sign-in message from Kisi.
Tap the link in the email to complete your sign-in.
If prompted, create a password.
Step 3 – Enable Permissions (Very Important!)
For the app to work properly, you must allow the following permissions:
✅ Location Services (Allow Always)
✅ Bluetooth
These permissions allow your phone to communicate with the gate reader and verify that you are at the club.
Don't worry: Kisi uses your location only to verify your proximity to the gate and improve Bluetooth performance. Your location is not stored for other purposes.
Step 4 – Opening the Gate
When you arrive at the club:
Make sure Bluetooth and Location Services are turned on.
Keep your phone out with a clear view of the sky.
Wait 15–30 seconds for your phone to acquire a GPS location.
Open the Kisi app.
Tap Open Gate, or simply wave your hand over the gate reader if MotionSense is enabled.
When the reader light turns green, the gate will open.
Troubleshooting
If the gate doesn't open:
Make sure Bluetooth and Location Services are enabled.
Wait a few more seconds for GPS to acquire your location.
Do not press the Open Gate button more than three times within 60 seconds, or your account will be temporarily locked out for approximately 10–15 minutes.
Some members have found success by leaving the Kisi app open, placing their phone on the dashboard, and waving a hand over the gate reader. This may give the phone additional time to acquire its GPS location.
If you continue to experience issues, please contact the club for assistance.
